Description

Christ of the Deep -

Cast in Italy and donated to the Underwater Society of America, this 9-foot bronze statue is a replica of the original, Christ of the Abysses, off the Italian shore. It rests 25 feet from the surface and is a must-see for tourists and underwater photographers. The surrounding reef is known for large formations of brain coral, and for the nearly 200 underwater weddings that take place here every year. Beware the fish, especially the barracuda, who’ve become accustomed to human presence.
