The Layton Nature Trail is a loop trail from spanning the area between the highway and the bay. You’ll wander through a dense area of carefully marked tropical plants found only in the Keys, such as pigeon plum, wild coffee and gumbo-limbo. This loop only takes 20 minutes to walk and provides a good introduction to the plant life that once covered most of the Keys.
