Camille's - Camille'sCamille's in Key West is a charming and the menu is fantastic. If you go for brunch, which is one of the best times to go, you can order such divine extravagancies as French Toast with Godiva white chocolate liqueur sauce with fresh strawberries. Their breakfast burritos are tasty, creative, and satisfying, with choices like smoked gouda cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. They serve local flavor like cafe con leche, reflecting Key West's Cuban mix, and they have enough choices on the menu so that just about anyone can find something delicious according to his or her own unique tastes. Again, especially for breakfast, the choices are fantastic, with all sorts of pancakes and waffle combinations, as well as everything from corned beef hash to breakfast burritos to yogurt. Coconut Milk Sauce on your cashew waffles, anyone? The service is friendly, efficient, and professional. The ambiance is wonderful, with offerings from local artists on the walls, colorful paintings hung on rose-peach colored walls, bright sunshine through the windows, kooky barbie-doll sculptures and gorgeous colored-glass lampshades hanging from the ceiling. Camille's doesn't have its own parking garage, but you may be able to find parking if you drive down Simonton Street a little further, towards the Southernmost Point, if you're going for breakfast. If you go for lunch or dinner, you're less likely to find a metered parking spot so just save yourself time and hassle and park in a public garage. Better yet, this is Key West, so ride a bike! It's located at 1202 Simonton Street, which is at the corner of Simonton and Catherine Street. Simonton is off US 1, which is also called Truman Ave. in this part of town. If you're on Truman going south, take a left onto Simonton. |
