Description

Eastern Dry Rocks - Eastern Dry rocks, probably the closet sanctuary protected area (SPA) to Key West Harbor, offers excellent snorkeling and shallow scuba diving. There is wide variety of fish and coral can be seen at this reef year round. In the summer months large tarpon and be seen cruising the deeper edges and drop offs. On a snorkel trip in August we not only saw tarpon but large permit, jewfish, nurse sharks, and spotted eagle rays along with the usual assortment of smaller reef fish.
