Description

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park -

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park for Boat Rentals. This incredible place is the first underwater state park in the United States. Along with the nearby Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary, the park totals about 178 nautical square miles. Almost the entire park is underwater in the Atlantic Ocean north and east of Key Largo. Fishing is allowed in the mangroves (for mangrove snapper, trout, sheepshead and snook) and in the Atlantic (f0r gamefish such as kingfish, mackerel and yellowtail). You can’t fish the tropical fish, though. You can explore the mangroves in a rented kayak or rent a bigger boat. There is a marina and docks.
